Profiles of Success

HAROLD PINSON
Management

About

Before PPLSI, I was in retail management for 16 years, and I had served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. It’s all work and no play in management. You always kept your luggage half-packed because you never knew when you might get transferred. And you’re living from paycheck to paycheck.

PPLSI, however, has brought a complete turnaround in my life. What I like best about PPLSI are the new friends I’ve made throughout the United States and Canada and the better life I’ve made for myself and my family. My wife, Kathy, and I have built a new home. We’ve even purchased a second home. We’re able to give more to our church and to different ministries. We help other family members and give more to missions. We’ve been able to enjoy wonderful vacations through this opportunity, and we’re able to take our family on vacations with us — our children, Amber and Kevin, and our seven grandchildren, Kayla, David, Emily, Aaron, Cohen, Lily and Eames. Also, I am a huge baseball fan, and in 2018, I completed my goal of visiting every major league baseball park stadium all across the country!

I was introduced to this service by a friend who referred me to Ken Moore. I was going to start working for another retail chain on a Wednesday and a friend called me on Monday and wanted to visit with me. He convinced me that I should give this a shot. And the rest is history. I became an associate in 1990.

PPLSI gives you the opportunity to dream basically for anything that you want, whether it’s a new home or a new car, and to help other people achieve their own dreams. If you plan your work and work your plan, those dreams can be obtained and so much more. You can build it as large as you wish if you just stay committed, have a game plan and stay persistent.

Some of my greatest accomplishments have been earning my $150,000 Ring in 2021, and in 2020, I sold my 13,000th membership! I was also recognized in 2021 as a PC Legend. But my greatest achievement of all was being awarded the very first Wilburn Smith Achievement Award. My goals for this year are to work with my organization and help them achieve their goals. And to achieve your goals, you must stay focused and plugged in, engage in personal development, be active, always follow up, never stop learning, stay positive and be here a year from now. Never quit!

Success is not determined by whether or not you face obstacles but instead by your reaction to them. And if you look at these obstacles as a containing fence, they become your excuse for failure. If you look at them as a hurdle, each one strengthens you for the next.

Just remember to stay committed to the process. This is not a race; it is a marathon. To succeed in this business, you must continue to set goals and make a minimum of 8 to 10 calls a day. Keep following up. Attend all events, local meetings, team calls, Super Saturdays and most of all the international convention. To see the big picture, you have to be at the big picture.
